Graduate Test and Development Engineer

What will the role involve?
- Design and build Jigs, Fixtures and Test Equipment
- Instrument and test high voltage batteries
- Perform tests within the Xerotech test laboratories or at supplier test houses across the world.
- Thermal Cycling
- Cooling Systems
- Durability
- Safety
- Shock & Vibration
- Cell Characterisation
- Benchmarking
- Support infield tests and commissioning of customer systems
- Commissioning of the cooling systems
- Electrical testing
- Isolation testing
Skills, Education and Experience
- Demonstrate good technical competency and experience in an automotive or similar environment with a good overall understanding of cooling systems, batteries and high voltage electrical engineering.
- Good team player who interacts well at all levels of the business including engineering, manufacturing and quality engineering and be able to adapt to working on multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Degree level qualification in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated relevant industry/academic experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
- Good team player with great communication skills.
- Self-motivated: Demonstrated ability to set direction and guide the team towards it.
- Experience with Solid Works or Similar CAD skills
- Experience of CAE in Stress and Mechanical
