Lead Mechanical Engineer
JWR Employment Specialists are partnering with a rapidly expanding Mechanical Engineering company in Mayo to hire a Lead Mechanical Engineer.
In this key leadership position, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, with a particular emphasis on pipework and instrumentation. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are successfully delivered while maintaining industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise in pipework and instrumentation.
- Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems, including the creation and interpretation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PNIDs).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, designers, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on design documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical engineering processes, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Lead the resolution of technical challenges and provide technical support during project execution, addressing issues related to pipework design, layout, and installation.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols in all aspects of mechanical engineering activities, promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience 4 in a lead engineering role, with a focus on mechanical engineering, pipework design, and instrumentation.
- In-depth knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PNIDs), including interpretation, development, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components, with expertise in pipework design, layout, and installation.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar, for design and analysis purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions.
